Dhanushka is a super friendly host. We had a private cooking class, that started with a tour through the garden, picking vegetables and spices. Dhanushka was patient and answered all our questions. We cooked about 6 different dishes; different curries, dahl, wind bean salad and okra salad. We also got to taste a special type of aubergine, that's considered a delicacy in Sri Lanka. His whole family came out to help out and they were all super friendly. It was interesting to learn the different dishes and to make coconut milk from scratch. All the dishes were vegan and super tasty. The price is also very good. Overall a wonderful experience that I'd definitely recommend. The garden tour is a fun and educational complementary part to the cooking experience and cooking with Dhanushka felt relaxed and entertaining. Nice if you're an experienced gardener and/or cook and curious about special dishes and ingredients, but also if you want to learn the basics of Sri Lankan cooking, this class has it all.

Excellent freshly cooked food, super tasty and nicely presented. The owner was super nice and really chatty! :) The portions are really generous and we could finish everything and the owner was really worried we had not liked any of the dishes but that was not the case, we really enjoyed the dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the place was spotlessly clean. Hands down best meal so far in this trip.

We stepped inside the restaurant without reading the reviews. We had the chicken roti, super fresh made for a very good price. It was very delicious - a rich meal. We had to wait some time until everything was cooked but the chef gave us a drink for free and told us some details about the dishes, how to open coconuts in the traditional way. He was very kind and gave us some cultural insights. Would strongly recommend :)

If I could give more stars, I definitely would!! We found this place because our homestay was just a little past the restaurant. Every time we passed the restaurant, the owner smiled and waved at us. On our last evening in Sigiriya we decided to have dinner at 68.Sigiriya, and what can I say? WE LOVED IT!! The atmosphere was great, you can tell that all the little details at the restaurant are chosen and made with love. The owner and his father have been very friendly, welcoming and interested in us and our country. And on top, the food has been amazing! We ordered the vegetable curries and rice and the vegetable kotthu. Everybody loved it! There’s plenty of vegan/vegetarian options on the menu and the food is freshly prepared. We also really enjoyed the freshly made fruit juices. Definitely a place to recommend with its very kind and obliging owners!

If you are one of the lucky ones to be reading this review, then you are called upon by the Gods to visit this holy establishment. This was one of the most unforgettable meals of my life. What I thought was just a normal Thursday night dinner turned out to be one of my best experiences in Sri Lanka. Not only did Dhanu and his family greet my friends and I with the utmost hospitality, we even planted a tree and danced together. I love Dhanu and his family with my whole heart and I cannot wait to go back and visit him and our coco tree again. ???????? We went there on our first evening and were amazed about how good the food tasted! The owner is such a friendly person ( who likes to talk ) the next day we did the cooking class & it was a very good experience! Thank you Dahnu for the food and the good company It’s a great place for people who want to dive in the culture of Sri Lanka and have a good time!

It’s a really nice and unique experience, we did the cocking class. There’s was a good vibe, god food and the man who did the cocking class was really sweet He’s good at English and we only paid 30 dollars for two He showed us the garden and we tasted a lot of traditional food

we had a really nice dinner at the restaurant! the food was very delicious! one of the best vegetarian kottus we had. the restaurant and the garden were made with a lot of love and passion. the owner and his mother are very friendly and it was a pleasure meeting them. if we had time, we would have stayed for a cooking class!
